"Exploring the landscape through earth pigments"

As artists, we are so used to taking paint straight from the tube that we often forget the weight and presence of each color. I challenged myself to use only colors sourced from nature. Each pigment had to be handpicked, cleaned, sieved, and ground into a fine powder. From rich dark browns through golden yellows to cool grays, the landscape of my homeland offered me a vast variety of earthy tones. This way of connecting fieldwork with painting gave me a renewed sense of excitement, which remains the main driving force of my art.
